Information Richness
Information richness is the amount of information that a communication medium can carry and the extent to which the medium enables the sender and receiver to reach a common understanding. Elizabeth is communicating via personally addressed written communication. On the scale of information richness, this technique falls lower than electronically transmitted verbal communication, which falls lower than face-to-face communication. It is only higher in information richness than impersonal written communication.
